Case Study

The JobBox live monitoring and notifications loop we developed: a live GPS map with operator/job filters beside WhatsApp, SMS and Push templates.

The challenge

Emerging-market field and home-services marketplaces do not usually fail for lack of a chat group. They fail when live operator presence lives in one map tool — or nowhere — while job updates, reminders, and broadcast messages live in personal WhatsApp threads. Supervisors cannot open who is online, who is on a job, and which template went out for that assignment from the same console. Presence and messaging become two reconstructions. The industry gap is simple: a provider directory is not a live ops board. A live GPS map with operator/job filters and a notification surface with WhatsApp, SMS, and Push templates have to share one Admin identity — or staff rebuild field status from chat while messages leave no template history beside the job.

Architecture

In JobBox, a field marketplace Admin developed by TechMania, live presence and ops messaging are not side products. Live Monitoring puts a GPS map and operator/job filters next to near-real-time refresh, and Notifications carries Templates / Send / History across WhatsApp, SMS, and Push/Email — so field visibility and outbound messaging share one workspace. This case study isolates that live monitoring + notifications loop. It is not the full JobBox product story already covered on the TechMania site, and it is not the operator verification queue covered separately.

Solution

The surfaces that make up that loop: - Live Monitoring — live GPS map with operator and job presence filters, list panes, and a refresh cadence so supervisors see who is online or on a job without a separate tracking seat - Notifications — template library with channel options (WhatsApp, SMS, Push/Email), plus Send and History paths so broadcasts are not personal chat threads with no audit - Dashboard adjacency — overview KPI band and recent activity sit beside the same Admin shell so presence work is not a second login from the home screen - Also in the same Admin: operators and verification, jobs lifecycle, geofence events, professions/pricing, invoices, reports, and admin roles — so a live operator can move into assignment and messaging without a second tool for field status Laravel backs the Admin. Mobile client store listings are out of scope for this case. Credits and visibility monetization sit beside notifications in the product family; they are out of scope for this write-up.

Results

What this changes for operators: - Live GPS presence and active-job context open inside the same Admin as jobs — not only in a separate map product - Notification templates for WhatsApp, SMS, and Push/Email are reusable instead of one-off personal messages - Send and History paths keep ops messaging inspectable beside the marketplace console - Supervisors can move from Live Monitoring → operator/job context → notification template without rebuilding status from chat - Role-separated Admin users keep field visibility and messaging with the right tier instead of one oversized login for every clerk Next step Need live GPS monitoring with operator/job filters beside WhatsApp / SMS / Push notification templates inside the same field marketplace Admin? https://techmania.solutions
